The Governors invite applications for the post of Deputy Headteacher at this popular school with enthusiastic children, friendly staff and a supportive Governing Body. A willingness to take the role of SENCO is essential. The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in driving school improvement
  • Understand how to support whole school targeted improvement in a succinct and dynamic way
  • Understand the importance of an 'ever improving' school and support others in being reflective and progressive practitioners
  • Work collaboratively with Headteacher to ensure the school's standards are maintained to an exceptionally high level
  • To have a robust approach to effective SEN provision through; implementing school based strategies, delivering CPD and reviewing the impact of the SEN provision within the school
  • Work proactively to continue their own professional development 
  • To have undertaken or currently be working towards SENCO qualification

Joydens Wood Infant School is a popular 3 form entry infant school with 242 happy and inquisitive children. We are located in northwest Kent, just inside the M25. We are very close to the motorway networks and a few minutes drive from Bluewater Shopping Centre. Our leafy site is in a quiet residential area, but close to semi-rural green belt spaces. We share our large site with Joydens Wood Junior School, an academy like ourselves which is part of the NEXUS Educational Schools Trust.
