A full-time Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant is required to support in Key Stage 2, initially in Year 5 and 6. Experience of working with children with ASD and/or emotional behavioural difficulties would be desirable. You will be working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed especially to meet the pupils’ needs.

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident team player who is able to demonstrate previous success in working with children.  You should also be able to evidence using your own initiative to support successful inclusion. You will have strong behaviour management skills balanced with a calm and friendly manner. Applicants should have at least GCSE Maths and English grade C or equivalent.

St James' CE Infant and Junior Schools are popular and oversubscribed schools situated in central Tunbridge Wells. The schools have a total of 633 children in 21 classes. From September 2017, the schools have been led by an Executive Headteacher who had led previously led the Junior school since April 2012.
