We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Team Member to join our Facilities Team. This role would suit someone who is confident regarding site security, has a working knowledge of and competence in general maintenance, grounds maintenance and DIY, and is experienced in hydrotherapy pool maintenance or is willing to undertake training. Other duties will include receiving deliveries, ad hoc cleaning, and routine safety checks. Ideally, the successful candidate will also be able to drive the school’s minibuses. It is important that the post holder is able to work comfortably and confidently within a special school environment.
The post holder must be available to work for 8 hours per day (7.5 hours on a Friday) with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid) on a shift system between the hours of 0700 and 1800 5 days a week, and up to 2200 once a week during term time only if required. For example, the early shift is from 0700 to 1500 and the late shift is from 1000 to 1800. If required to work up to 2200, the shift will be from 1400 to 2200 on that day. In addition, the post holder must be available for out of hours emergency call-outs at evenings and weekends on a rota system.
