Cover Supervisor – Required immediately – 3 days per week

Have you considered a career in teaching but would like to experience working in a school first?

Wrotham School is looking to appoint a part time Cover Supervisor who will work as part of a team and cover for absent staff.

The successful candidate will be required to supervise whole classes undertaking pre-prepared activities provided by a teacher during short-term absence.  You will be educated at GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English, with the ability to apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment.  You must have the ability to work calmly under pressure, whilst being able to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations.  Previous experience in teaching, cover supervision or classroom work in schools is desirable.

The Supervisor role is paid equivalent to Kent Range 5 at £18,059 - £19,863 for a full time post. This is for term time only, 38 weeks plus two inset days and for 3 days per week – 8.15 – 3.15 p.m. with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.
