PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO THE RECRUITMENT DATES: CLOSING DATE IS 14TH FEBRUARY WITH INTERVIEWS 26TH FEBRUARY

Come & join our OUTSTANDING team at Cliftonville Primary & Pre-School.

Due to the promotion of a teacher and our school's expansion we would like to appoint teachers to three posts from the summer term, April 2019.  This is to give you a good headstart to your new class and year group for September.

Our last Ofsted inspection, November 2016, judged all aspects of the school to be outstanding but for us, outstanding doesn't mean perfect and there is still work to be done!

Posts have arisen as our school continues to grow and, with our commitment to developing leaders at all levels, a middle leader has been promoted to a phase leader post in a local school.  There are good career progression routes for teachers in the early stages of their careers and high-quality continuing professional development including our bespoke middle leaders programme and nationally accredited courses NPQML/SL/H.  We were asked to contribute to DfE research on CPD, published November 2018, as we have a much higher retention rate of teachers than the national picture.

We are anticipating that posts will be in KS2 and KS1, so please include your key stage preference in your application.

It is a really exciting place to work and we are at the cutting edge of some very innovative and exemplary practice.  Staff report feeling well-supported and mentoring for newly qualified teachers is excellent.  The senior leadership team tries hard to ensure demands placed on staff are reasonable and proportionate to outcomes for children and that the important job of teaching is genuinely balanced with having a life beyond the school gates!

Please come and have a look at us in action - just about everyone who visits, no matter what post, applies as our children 'sell the school' much better than any advert!

Information about the school

We are one of the largest primary schools in Kent with nearly 862 children on roll, including a 27 Pre-School that offers 30 hour provision. Following our Ofsted inspection, January 2023, we join a small group or primaries who have kept their OUTSTANDING judgement in every aspect of the school. This is attributable to the dedication and professionalism of ALL staff.

When joining us, you will be supported to be the best that you can be. As an academy within the Coastal Academies Trust (CAT) we are passionate and driven in delivering outstanding opportunities for our whole community- staff, children and parents.

We are a family. Our school is warm and welcoming to children, their families and staff. The school is immensely proud of the diverse community it serves and is committed to maintaining outstanding outcomes for every child, no matter what their starting point in an environment that promotes intellectual, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development. As with any school, there are challenges...but the rewards of working at Cliftonville are huge.

Our school values of Independence, safe and settled, respect, resilience, aspiration, learning and community are integral to all that we are and do at Cliftonville Primary and Pre-school. As part of our commitment to community we make it our mission to promote positive wellbeing for all our pupils, staff and the wider community including parents and carers. We recognise that without positive wellbeing we cannot reach our full potential. Therefore, we aim to educate and support our whole school community on the importance of wellbeing and mental health, ensuring it is everyone’s responsibility to care for one another. Through our innovative ‘Wellbeing Hub’ we will provide mental health support, understanding and intervention for pupils and parents ensuring a holistic approach.

Our staff are our greatest resource and so we ensure that all staff have a supportive network and feel they are listened, to and valued at all times.

We work together with a whole range of partners including parents, external agencies, local groups to foster warm, friendly and purposeful relationships. Through these partnerships we support and develop the childrens social, and emotional foundations upon which learning is achieved through a bespoke, exciting, ambitious and engaging curriculum.

The school holds a number of important accreditations including most recently the Well being Award, the Inclusion Quality Mark and the Continuous Professional Learning and Development Quality Mark.
