Being an expanding school we are looking to recruit a Caretaker to join our existing premises team for 25hrs per week for 45 weeks per year.  Your hours of employment would be 06.30am-11.30am daily Monday to Friday. This is an important role within the school for which key attributes are vital.  You will be hard working, flexible and committed to creating the best teaching and learning environment for all.  Good communication skills are essential as well as a friendly and approachable manner. There will be an expectation for you to be flexible and offer to cover for the Premises Manager if they are not in school for any reason and to cover 3 weeks during the summer break.  If asked to cover at any time i.e. cover the absence of the Premises Manager,  to support PTA functions, or other after school events, additional hours may be claimed for this time.

You would be joining our team at a very exciting time as we continue to expand to three form entry.  No two days at Bursted Wood are the same, with duties and demands on your time changing according to the needs of the school.   For the right candidate, there are excellent opportunities for professional development in place.

Bursted Wood Primary is a popular over-subscribed three form entry school set within a woodland setting for children aged 4-11yrs.
