THE POST

We are looking for a well-qualified and dynamic individual to lead the Mathematics Department and deliver outstanding lessons to KS3, KS4 and KS5 in this Ofsted Outstanding grammar school.  This post would suit an experienced professional or one looking to progress their career by moving into a senior role with the opportunity to join the Extended Leadership Team.  Candidates should have the vision and enthusiasm to make a significant contribution to the department and students’ learning and achievement and a proven track record in raising student attainment to achieve outstanding results.

Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT). The Charles Dickens School (CDS), a state, non-selective, co-educational secondary school joined BCAT on 1 March 2017 and Barton Manor School (BMS), our free school, which is also a non-selective co-educational secondary school opened in September 2022 to Year 7.
