Gravesend Grammar School are searching for an experienced, talented individual to inspire and drive the next generation of actors, and enhance and broaden our already challenging curriculum.

It is an exciting time at Gravesend Grammar school, a selective boys’ school for ages 11-16 and co-ed 16-18. Our new Headteacher’s goal is to build and continuously improve on our 2015 Outstanding OFSTED grading, and ensure that the school is a rewarding, enjoyable environment with excellent structures in place to support teaching and learning.

What we seek:

  • A Drama teacher who can teach the full age range 11-18.
  • The ability to teach Drama to at least GCSE level and preferably A level
  • A strong interest in music; the ability to contribute this subject is desirable
  • Able to plan, implement and evaluate the subject curriculum and undertake assessments
  • A contributor to our enrichment and extra-curricular activities
  • An individual who can inspire, excite and enthuse through sharing their passion for  the performing arts
  • The organisational skills, flair and drive to stage drama and musical productions

Information about the school: Gravesend Grammar School is an 11-18 selective boys grammar school with girls admitted to the Sixth Form. The most recent Ofsted Inspection (June 2015) judged the School as ‘Outstanding’. We became an Academy on 1st August 2011 as part of The Decus Educational Trust (TDET). The school is currently going through a period of expansion. We have built a 10 million pound facility to accommodate the additional students. We will continue to rise year on year until we admit 1500 students (7 forms of entry). This is a really exciting time in the history of the school and has the potential to provide succession opportunities for colleagues that want to progress in their careers. We have a committed staff who provide opportunity and challenge in a caring environment and strive to ensure the students achieve the very best they can at all times.
