Hours 8.30-3.30 Term Time only.

Wilmington Primary School is a one form entry school with 210 children, which is in the heart of the village. Pupils, staff, parents, governors and volunteers agree that our strength is our community spirit, which creates a caring, supportive and happy environment. Quoted in our current Ofsted report, a teacher commented ‘The teaching staff and support staff all work as a team.  This is why we are a happy school with happy children.  A team I am proud to be part of’.

We are looking to welcome an Early Years HLTA, who would work alongside our Early Years teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fun and highly supportive group of dedicated people, to begin or further develop your career. The successful applicant will be based for the majority time in an Early Years class, supporting a class teacher. There will also be an expectation that the HLTA will cover the EYFS class teacher, when needed. There may also be the need for the HLTA to cover other classes, on an ad hoc basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently a TA, or someone who works in a nursery, to further progress his/her career.

We are lucky to have very supportive parents and confident, well-behaved and delightful children to teach. Our motto is ‘sharing and caring as we learn together’.  We aim to provide education in a caring and interesting environment, that will motivate all children to maximise their learning opportunities.

We can offer you a great opportunity to develop your teaching career with us and look forward to welcoming you to the school. We would encourage all applicants to come and visit the school so we can show you how special we are and to answer any questions you may have. To arrange a visit, please contact either Helen Flowers or Joanne Reynolds on 01322 274080.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.

We are a one form entry primary school at the centre of Wilmington village. The school is very welcoming with motivated and well behaved children, an enthusiastic and friendly staff team, dedicated and supportive governors and many willing parents who give time and energy to provide financial, social and academic enrichment across the curriculum. The building has many break out spaces and a large tree lined, landscaped field. We provide a stimulating creative curriculum linking English and maths across the wide range of subject themes. The Ofsted inspection of June 2019 was graded good. A good staff work-life balance is a school priority.
