Full time Teacher of Art and Photography

Hugh Christie is an 11-18 mixed school based in Tonbridge, Kent. We were recognised as ‘good’ by OfSTED in 2017.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Teacher of Art and Photography to contribute to the development of this successful and popular subject area. Your primary responsibilities will be the teaching of Art from Years 7 to 11 along with the possibility of GCSE Photography for the appropriately qualified candidate. The ability to teach Art or Photography at A level would also be an advantage but not essential. Successful candidates will be welcomed in to a strong department with the opportunity to help shape the curriculum around their own specific strengths. We will also support you in less confident areas to enhance your own professional development.

Applications from newly qualified teachers as well as those with experience are equally welcome.

Hugh Christie is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
