We think our school is very special.  We make learning irresistible for our children and staff through an experience based curriculum.  You could be the lucky teacher who gets to take your class to the local curry house, create a film trailer, make an African stew, or cuddle our well-loved guinea pigs!  We now have a great opportunity for a new member for our KS2 teaching team.  This is initially a temporary post as a year 5 teacher.  During our recent Ofsted [March 2018], the inspector couldn’t help but notice the strength of our commitment to the wellbeing of all our staff and children.

What are we like?  Well, as a staff we make time to have a laugh together, enjoy learning with the children, use up gluesticks and bluetac, file things in safe places, eat plenty of chocolate, dress up, organise trips, join in and generally have a great time at work.  Check out our Facebook page to see some of the exciting things we get up to!

How do we ensure staff wellbeing and a manageable work/life balance?  Well, we have reduced marking and replaced this with verbal feedback, planning is carried out in phase groups, and as well as PPA one afternoon a week, we finish at 1.45 p.m. every Friday.

East Peckham Primary School is a one form entry village school, with approximately 180+ pupils on roll. We serve a thriving village community and enjoy close links with other local primary schools. Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff work strongly together to provide exciting learning experiences for the children both inside and outside the classroom. We also benefit from a large site, with a swimming pool, award winning radio station and Forest School.
