We have an exciting opportunity for a new Deputy Headteacher to help provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school.

Stone Bay School is situated in the seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent and specialises in providing both day and residential education for pupils aged 8 to 19 years who are diagnosed with ASD and severe and complex learning needs.

We have a wonderful, caring culture and a high staff to student ratio to support our students. We are committed to building communications between our young people, parents, and staff and to developing each child as an individual to “get it right for every student” so they can reach their full potential.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of children and young people and produces positive outcomes. You will support the Headteacher in developing the school as a high quality specialist provision.

Working closely with the Headteacher, you will ensure the school has effective leadership and the required team capability to further develop and continually improve. You will be joining an experienced and committed staff team and will have the opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of our school.   • Will work creatively and effectively with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body to drive school improvement
  • Has made an excellent contribution in the learning and progress of pupils and who is able to use their skills and knowledge to develop colleagues in improving teaching and learning
  • Is a highly motivated and forward thinking leader, with the energy and passion to influence whole school development and improvement
  • Has experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs.
