We are looking for a positive, well organised and motivated Site Manager to maintain our site to a high standard and join our hardworking and friendly team at Kings Hill School.

You will be responsible for managing the overall maintenance to ensure the security, safety and condition of the school site (buildings and grounds).

This position is full time for 52 weeks of the year with 24 days holiday.

The salary will be KR6 - KR7 depending on experience.

KR6 is £19,864-£21,789 and KR7 is £21,790 - £24,790.

Hours of work are 37 hours a week (7.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. for 4 days a week and 7.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. 1 day a week with one hour for lunch unpaid)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is friendly, positive, proactive and flexible
  • A good communicator and well organised
  • Has relevant maintenance experience desirably in a school setting
  • Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Able to work well in a team and self-motivated to manage workload priorities
  • Able to maintain accurate maintenance records and site risk assessments
  • Can demonstrate a willingness to learn and use school based ICT systems
  • Is willing to be involved with the wider life of the school e.g. KHSF events

Kings Hill School is a large school site set on almost five acres. The building is single storey (except the library) and is fairly modern (built in 1997). It includes sixteen classrooms, a hall, kitchen, ICT suite, library, music room and admin offices. The grounds include a pond, woodland, field, running track and Multi Use Games Area. At the front of the school is a large staff car park, a drop off zone for parents and a delivery area outside the kitchen and Site Manager’s office.
