Meadowfield School is an educational community in which pupils feel happy, safe, proud and are enthusiastic about their learning.  We believe we are all special here at Meadowfield School; a growing school which currently has 268 pupils with profound, severe and complex needs, located in Swale.

Midday Assistants- Term Time Only

The school is looking to welcome new Midday Assistants to our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive group of dedicated people.

We require Midday Assistants to work as part of a team, supporting the learning of our pupils with profound, severe and complex needs including autism. Some experience of working with pupils with special educational needs would be an advantage, though not essential, as training will be given.

Kent Range 2, £15,627p.a. (actual salary £3,482 p.a.) – 11:30am to 1:30pm, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), term time only, 38 weeks per year, 10 hours per week

 Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Meadowfield School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post.

Information about the school

Meadowfield School is an outstanding special school located in Sittingbourne and serves pupils with profound, severe and complex needs including autism.
We currently have approximately 270 pupils comprised of Lower School which includes our Observation and Assessment Nursery called Honey Bees, Secondary Department, and 6th Form. The Meadowfield Inclusion Development and Support (MIDAS) Centre is our highly regarded inclusion and outreach service which successfully supports over 60 schools and 70 settings across Swale, increasing capacity to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs.
Across the school we have approximately 200 members of staff ranging from class based support staff, teachers, the Inclusion Team and also Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department as well as our Leadership and Management Team.
