A warm invite to join our team at Tunbury Primary School. 

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our hard working and supportive team to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs. This position is term time only, running between 8.30 am and 4.00pm daily and will include classroom support and lunchtime support. This is a fixed term role ending July 2019 however, there is a possibility that the position may be extended.

As with other roles in the school, this post involves regular contact with children and staff and therefore the successful candidate needs to be able to relate well to children and adults alike. Ideally, in applying for this post you will have:

  • Either a NVQ or equivalent in supporting the Teaching & Learning in Class;
  • Previous experience of working with challenging or vulnerable children;
  • A good knowledge of children with behaviour difficulties, ADHD and ASD;
  • High standards of work ethic and self-motivation;
  • Good literacy and mathematical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • The ability to form positive relationships with children and adults;
  • High standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards & team work;
  • The dedication and reliability needed to ensure the very best outcomes for our students.

Salary: Kent Range 3 £12,474 - £13,719 pro rata, (£15,628 - £17,188 full time equivalent) dependant on experience.
