Salary: KR3 £15,628 – £17,188 Full-time equivalent

(Actual salary £12,191 - £13,408 pro-rata) according to experience and qualifications

Hours: 35 hours per week (5 days)

Term Time only contract (38 weeks plus 5 week’s holiday entitlement)

An administrative assistant is required to join our friendly, energetic and dynamic team. The environment is vibrant and fast-paced, fun but focused on delivering an outstanding service to an expanding primary school and building good relationships with both staff and parents.

 

Job description:

 

You will undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including assisting the Office Manager in the organisation of the school office. Support and guidance will be provided. Good communication and organisational skills are crucial. The post requires the ability to work as part of a team. 

 

Duties include support to our Heads of School, diary and email management, arranging meetings, taking minutes and organising a variety of school events.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualifications to include English and Maths GCSE A-C grade or equivalent (evidence of qualifications will be required to be provided)
  • IT literate - confident user of Microsoft Office, SIMS would be an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Flexibility
  • Organised and an eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
  • A willingness to take the initiative and work without close supervision

Whitfield Aspen School is unusual in a national context, in that it is a two/three form entry mainstream primary, with over four hundred pupils, combined with the district special school for one hundred and seventy-two pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex Learning Needs (PSCN).
