We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our talented and supportive team. You should be a positive, enthusiastic person who loves working with children and helping them to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate must hold the relevant teaching assistant qualification with GCSEs in English and maths A - C or equivalent and good computer skills.

You will be providing small group and in class support for children in Year 5. This post is initally for a fixed term contract until the end of this academic school year, with potential to extend.

This post will also involve working across the school in the role of Lunchtime Supervisor during the lunchtime period.  

The hours will be 8.30am - 1: 15pm for 3 days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

• has strong Literacy and Numeracy skills to enable you to have a positive impact on children’s progress
• is passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential
• has experience of both supporting children in class and delivering high quality interventions
• is able to contribute to, and work as part of a team
• has excellent communication skills and flexible attitude
• has effective time management and an ability to work on own initiative
• has good IT skills

Meopham Community Academy is a two form entry primary school set in a beautiful village location and the school prides itself on providing a happy, safe and caring environment for all its pupils.
