Pastoral Support Manager

Required for January 2019

Band 5 £18,059 - £19,864

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

 

We would like to appoint a new Pastoral Support Manager to join the exciting new community restructure at our school.

The successful candidate will have a positive, cheerful attitude and excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with young people.  They should be able to work independently and under pressure.  The capacity to work methodically with accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

The post encompasses a wide range of pastoral responsibilities, including meeting with parents and representatives from external agencies, therefore comes with an expectation of professional standards as well as administrative capacity.

The working hours mean that the successful candidate would be working until 4.30pm, as well as supporting evening events as the school and, on occasion, days during the holiday.

This was reflected in our March 2023 Ofsted inspection report that states how, “Staff have high aspirations for what all pupils can learn and achieve. This level of ambition is evident throughout the school”. They also commented on how, “Pupils are proud of how tolerant and supportive their school is” and that, “The vast majority of pupils behave well in school”. The school was graded as “Good” for the third successive inspection.
