We have a vacancy for a full-time Caretaker with effect from January 2019. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager in the cleaning, maintenance and caretaking activities to ensure the safety, security and sound condition of the buildings, hydrotherapy pool, facilities and grounds.

The post holder will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning and skills in a number of disciplines. They will also need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site.

Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a year round contract for 37 hours per week. Working hours will be finalised on appointment but are likely to be 10.30am to 6.30pm. There will also be a requirement to switch shifts as required and to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate.

Please note that Ifield School is federated with our neighbouring primary school, Kings Farm and there will be an occassional requirement to work on that site when the need arises.
