NTC is looking for a friendly, professional ‘Clerk to Governors’ with excellent organisational skills to support their established & experienced Full Governing Body (FGB).

Salient duties will include:

  • Providing a comprehensive & supportive clerking service to the school’s Full Governing Body (FGB).
  • Updating the FGB & Leadership Team on legislative changes & updates.
  • Preparing the Agenda & associated papers for all FGB & Sub Group Meetings.
  • Attending & taking accurate minutes of all meetings, keeping records of attendance and discussions – through action points – and prompt distribution of approved minutes to all relevant members, within pre-defined time scales.
  • Maintaining and updating external agency records of Governor starters & leavers

NTC is happy to appoint a non-experienced candidate who is willing to train as a Clerk.　 The attached Job Description & Person Specification are for a trainee Clerk.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher’s PA and Associate Governors who are key members of school staff.

Working hours are predominantly evening work, in Term Time.
