We have a vacancy for a cleaner for 12.5 hours per week to join Northfleet Nursery School.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed cleaner who will be responsible for cleaning all internal areas of the school to ensure they are kept in a pleasant, hygienic and safe condition.

Applicants should have experience of cleaning to a high standard and be confident in the use of relevant cleaning equipment. Applicants should be reliable and trustworthy with a flexible and willing approach, able to work within set routines and establish positive working relationships.

Hours of work will be 3.30pm-6pm or 4pm-6.30pm daily during term time plus additional specialised deep cleaning programs during school closures. Leave can only be taken during school holidays.

An understanding of health and safety in relation to this role especially COSHH is required.

The salary for this post will be paid pro rata on Kent Range 2 (FTE £15627)

Northfleet Nursery School has been graded Outstanding 5 consecutive times and is the only stand–alone maintained Nursery School funded by Kent County Council. We have a school PAN of 93 and take admissions from the local community in Northfleet and the surrounding area. The nursery uses the High/Scope approach which actively involves the children in exploring and learning about things that are important to children in the early years.
