Lesson Supervisor

Required for January 2019

Permanent, Band 5 £18,059-£19,864 (£13,385.33-£14,723.20 pro rata)

32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 staff development days.

 

This post is designed to provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher or form tutor. The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management skills as well as a confident personality, a good presence, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine.

Applicants should be well-educated, preferably to further education level/Level 3 or above, including English and maths, and will ideally have experience of giving support in the classroom, possibly as a Teaching Assistant, although other qualifications and personal/work experiences will be taken into account. Employment will start after a one-week paid in-service training course. There will also be a six month probationary period.
