We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with excellent communication and time management skills to work with children requiring Speech and Language support in school. You should be a highly efficient, flexible and reliable person with good record keeping skills and be able to forge positive working relationships with children.

You should have the skills needed to assess and engage individuals and groups of children and lead effective support programmes. Additionally, your role will involve communicating with staff, parents and Speech and Language Therapists to ensure that children are receiving quality support. You will need to be able to follow up advice and programmes from Speech and Language Therapists and report on children’s progress.

Previous successful experience as a Teaching Assistant is essential. Experience of working with children who have Speech and Language support needs would be very useful, as would knowledge of Speech Link and Language Link assessment packages and interventions and/or following programmes recommended by a Speech and Language Therapist.

We have a happy, supportive staff team and will provide professional development opportunities to help you to further develop your skills in this role.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and an offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
