We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our large secondary Academy in Deal, to supervise groups of students in a range of subject areas, covering teacher absence. The post holder will be required to ensure good classroom management, follow set lesson plans and support students to ensure that the learning objectives set by the teacher are achieved.

As a result of £25 million investment from the Department of Education, Goodwin Academy moved into its new home in September 2017. The new school is a three storey building with a four court Sports Hall.

 

What you will need to succeed:

  • Successful recent experience of working with children of secondary school age
  • Good general standard of education, especially with regards to numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, legislation
  • Must be able to use own initiative, work independently, mo
