ALTERNATIVE PROVISION - HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

30 hours per week

Term time only plus 3 days

FMAT Band 6 point 20 £21,938 p.a

(£14,814 p.a pro-rata for 30 hours)

The school is looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Applicants should have a sound understanding of SEND students, have at least a level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification and hold the necessary HLTA qualification.

This is a busy position with the school requiring someone with a calm and professional disposition. You will need to be flexible, reliable and have a professional approach towards your work. The ability to work as part of a team is essential, however you will also need to be able to work independently and organise your time. You will be responsible for working each day with students placed into the schools alternative provision on a long-term basis and so the ability to form positive working relationships and support students to make progress is paramount.
