This is an exciting oportunity to work 1:1 with a Year 1 child to support their learning and behaviour. The role will involve working both in and out of the classroom, where appropriate, with the aim of encouraging the child to work full time in the class alongside their peers. The child is currently on a part-time timetable but has a plan to transition to full time after the Christmas break if appropriate.

Visits to the current school are welcome - we will be moving into a new building next year, where facilities to support children's learning will be much improved.

Information about the school

Benenden CEP School has recently moved into a brand new building, in an idyllic Kent village setting. The school has hard working staff and governors, consistently high achieving children and supportive parents, all leading to a happy school and an effective learning community. We were judged to be good by Ofsted in all areas in January 2017 and attained a judgement of good in our recent Church School inspection.

We are also very excited to be working in a formal collaboration with Goudhurst and Kilndown Church of England Primary School.
