25 hrs per week, Term time only plus 5 Staff Development Days (39 weeks)

Salary: VIAT 4 £18,251 (£10,405 pro rata)

Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough wish to appoint a highly organised and efficient Deputy Catering Manager to support the Catering Manager in providing an efficient catering service.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate previous experience of providing high quality catering in a commercial or school environment including production of menus, ordering of stock and liaison with suppliers.

The successful candidate will be required to hold a recognised qualification in catering/cooking or relevant experience. Previous line management experience in a catering environment will also be desirable. Candidates will also have to demonstrate a sound knowledge of legislation surrounding allergens and school food standards which both restrict and prescribe the types of foods which can be served in schools and how to apply these menus.
