We seek to recruit an Administration Officer who will provide administrative and organisational services to the Academy working within the Academy administration team but providing specifc administration support with the day to day running of the Academy.  A key responsibility of the role will be to develop and maintain the he online presence of the Academy including the Academy website and the use of Social Media.

The position is term time only  - 25 hours per week.

Core responsibilities will involve:

  1. To provide administrative and organisational services to the Academy working within the Academy administration team but with a specific responsibility to support the AVP with day to day organisation of Academy events.
  2. To maintain the school calendar, ensuring all Academy events are recorded.
  3. To maintain the Academy website ensuring it is compliant and that parents, students and local community are able to effectively access information.
  4. Making sure all Academy events are promoted appropriately on the website, take photographs of Academy events to be put onto the website and also on social media.
  5. Maintain the online social media profile of the Academy through the use of Twitter and Facebook.
  6. To produce the weekly bulletin each week for staff and also to produce the presentation displayed in the  Academy Heartspace.
  7. Support in the production of any marketing materials for the Academy.
  8. Support in the organisation and administration of school trips.
  9. Provide administrative support for the IPad scheme.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working in an administration role and have ICT skills at an exceptional level. You would need to be highly literate and numerate with excellent interpersonal skills and a meticulous attention to detail.  You will have the ability to plan, prioritise and manage your workload in an environment of conflicting demands.
