We are looking to recruit a Premises Assistant to assist with ensuring the Facilities on site are robust, secure and sustainable.

Duties will include;

Assisting in planned preventative maintenance, ad-hoc repairs and minor works to the grounds and buildings

Maintaining the security of the buildings and grounds, including patrols and inspections of the site

Moving furniture and supplies as requested, and occasionally working at height

Maintaining and operating the security systems, and inspecting and testing the CCTV, fire extinguisher systems and fire alarms

Assisting with maintaining the cleanliness of the site and clearing snow when necessary

Maintaining all tools and equipment to ensure they are kept in good working order

About you;

You will have previous experience within a facilities based role, ideally within an educational setting.  You will have a sound understanding of health and safety requirements, and have either a First Aider qualification (or a willingness to become qualified).  You will have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in related building or a maintenance trade.  Good communication skills and an understanding of the importance of facilities as a customer service operation are key to this role.  Flexibility is essential as the role involves working on a shift rotation to cover the Academy's extended opening hours.  This is an all year round position.
