Key stage 3 Mathematics Lead

Rainham School for Girls are looking to appoint a Mathematics Teacher with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility for Key stage 3, to work within our enthusiastic, dedicated Mathematics Faculty. Rainham School for Girls represents a culture of high aspiration, high expectation and success. The preferred candidate will:

  • Be an inspirational teacher who believes that the students in their care deserve the very best education
  • Be able to plan and teach engaging lessons which support students to make progress
  • Be able to demonstrate a passion about the role of Mathematics within education
  • Be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills

 

The role will involve:-

 

  • Leading developments at KS3 within Mathematics including appropriate courses, resources, schemes of work and teaching and learning strategies in conjunction with HOF
  • Being responsible for the analysing, monitoring and evaluating KS3 pupil progress targets to make a measurable contribution to whole school targets,
  • Being accountable for formulating aims and objectives for KS3 within the Faculty that support the strategic plans of the school in conjunction with HOF
  • Assisting with the design, development, and delivery of an appropriate and high quality KS3 Mathematics curriculum 
  • Contributing to the implementation of the school monitoring policy including carrying out lesson observations and work scrutiny in KS3
