Briary Pre-school is an independent, committee run pre-school, based in a wonderful purpose built log cabin which caters for children from 2 to 5 situated in the grounds of the primary school.

We are looking for a hardworking, energetic and a flexible person to join our friendly team as an Early Years Practitioner.

You will understand how to ensure the needs of our children are met and enjoy developing strong links with our parents and other professionals. 

You will have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, a very team-spirited approach and be ready to make a difference from your very first day.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare development.
  • Some experience in an early years and childcare setting.
  • Experience and understanding of Safeguarding.
  • First Aid would be desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures relating to current legislation. 

The hours will be:-

8.15am - 4.00pm with a 3/4 hour unpaid lunch break - 37.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks plus 5 weeks holiday pay).

Start date January 2019, unless available sooner.
