Briary Pre-school is an independent, committee run pre-school, based in a wonderful purpose built log cabin which caters for children from 2 to 5 situated in the grounds of the primary school.

We are looking for an inspirational, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team as Pre-school Manager.

You will understand how to ensure the needs of our children are met and enjoy developing strong links with our parents, as well as being able to manage the business side of the preschool.

You will have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, a very team-spirited approach and be ready to make a difference from your very first day.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of running a business including accounts, salaries, banking, invoicing, GDPR and dealing with external organisations, such as the Charity Commission.
  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare development and a willingness to train further.
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience in an early years and childcare setting.
  • Experience and understanding of Safeguarding, SEN, multi-agency and partnership working.
  • Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures relating to current legislation. 

The hours will be:-

8.15am - 5.00pm with a 3/4 hour unpaid lunch break - 42.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks plus 5 weeks holiday pay).

Start date January 2019, unless available sooner.
