Advert

Our friendly, hardworking team is looking to welcome a new Teaching Assistant to our school.

Are you enthusiastic about children’s learning and committed to all children and adults feeling valued?

We are looking to recruit one dedicated and highly motivated professional person to join our popular two form entry junior school. Candidates must have relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications, GCSE Maths and English grade C or above and be IT literate.  The hours are 12.30pm- 3.30pm (this could be reviewed and extended to 8.30-3.30pm), Monday to Friday, term-time only (including 5 inset days).  This is a temporary contract until July 2019 in the first instance, but this could be extended.

The core purpose of this role will be to support a Year 3 pupil on a one to one basis. A personalised timetable is to be delivered that encompasses emotional regulation activities, handwriting, social skills, numeracy/literacy support and other additional provisions. Some experience of working with children who have ODD, ADHD or an attachment disorder would be an advantage. The successful candidate would also have some experience of working with children who have learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs

We have a very strong team; we provide support and opportunities for professional development. This could be an opportunity to further develop your career by further building on your successes.

The successful candidate must be committed to high standards of learning and behaviour.

A caring approach, the ability to be flexible/adaptable and a good sense of humour are essential. We are seeking to appoint a ‘St Laurence’ person: someone who is committed to ensuring that each and every child meets their potential, enjoys school and is excited and engaged in their learning.

And, finally, as a church school we expect all staff to make a positive contribution towards our strong Christian ethos and to take part in our Christian worship.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. Please email: office@stlaurencejuniors.co.uk for further information or to arrange a visit.
