A term-time only vacancy has arisen at Riverhead Infants' School for a Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team supporting children with SEN. This is a full-time role but part-time applications will be considered. The person/people we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team. 

This is a diverse role, primarily supporting individuals and small groups and may include supporting teaching and learning as a class teaching assistant. It may include care needs. The position will initially be fixed for one year but may become permanent. 

The post attracts a salary on Kent Range 3 (£15,628-£17,188) pro rata. Please contact the school for further information and visit our website.

Information about the school

Riverhead is a three form intake infant school on the outskirts of the town of Sevenoaks. Our eco-friendly sedum-roofed building is set in beautiful grounds enabling our pupils to enjoy their learning both indoors and out. We have received numerous awards for our excellent practice including the School Award for Resilience and Wellbeing and Platinum Award for our OPAL. Our school is over-subscribed and well supported by parents and the local community.
