We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis.  This is a fixed term role ending 31st August 2019.   The post is for 25 hours per week, working every day of the week during term time, 8.30 – 1.30 and will include classroom support and lunchtime support.

As with other roles in the school, this post involves regular contact with children and staff and therefore the successful candidate needs to be able to relate well to children and adults alike. Ideally, in applying for this post you will have:

  • Either a NVQ or equivalent in supporting the Teaching & Learning in Class.
  • Previous experience of working with children;
  • High standards of work ethic and self-motivation
  • Good literacy and mathematical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to form positive relationships with children and adults
  • High standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards & team work.
