We are seeking to appoint an additional Deputy Headteacher, from January 2019, to assist the Headteacher in leading the school. With rising pupil numbers, and a recent move to a new purpose built school, this is an exciting time to join Foreland Fields.

Specific areas of responsibility will be allocated to each of the 2 Deputy Headteachers by agreement. Both Deputy Headteachers will be Designated Safeguarding Lead (Deputies) with the Headteacher taking the lead role (DSL) on Safeguarding. The Deputy Headteacher post being advertised has responsibility for Curriculum Development, Pupil Progress Data and Continuous Professional Development (linked to Teaching and Learning). These Roles could however be re-allocated amongst the Deputies depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

This could be your opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of our school. We are looking for dynamic people who have vision; relish a challenge and who have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed, in order to meet the Headteacher and find out more about the nature of the work involved. To arrange an informal visit candidates should contact the PA to the Headteacher on 01843 863891 or through email at foreland@foreland.kent.sch.uk.
