An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance assistant to join the administrative team at Claremont Primary School. You will be required to support the work of the School Business Manager whilst also offering support to the 'front of house team'. The post requires a candidate with proven financial experience, ideally within a school environment. The hours are 20 per week for 39 weeks of the school year. The preferable deployment plan would be 5 mornings although other options could be considered at interview with the shortlisted candidates.

Essential qualities and skills;

  • excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • ability to adapt to varying tasks, sometimes under pressure
  • able to prioritise tasks effectively, seeking guidance if required
  • sensitivity and confidentiality as required
  • commitment to equalities and the promotion of diversity in all aspects of working
  • friendly and approachable with the ability to have fun and enjoy work

Preferable experience;

  • working in a school office
  • familiar with FMS ( or other school finance packages)
  • excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
