Advert

Bredgar CEP School is looking to appoint either a Newly Qualified Teacher or someone in the early stages of their teaching career to join our school community. This is a full time, permanent position to teach a mixed class of Year 3 and 4 children beginning in January or earlier if possible.

The school community comprises of friendly, well behaved and motivated pupils, a dedicated staff team, supportive parents, governors and the local church community. The school is part of the Potential in Everyone Academy Trust and therefore benefits from inter-school support as well.

Putting the children at the heart of all we do is fundamental. As well as wanting to achieve good academic results, we also give equal importance to nurturing the whole child so they are developing all the skills needed to be active and responsible citizens of the future. As a Church of England School, a willingness to be supportive of the Christian ethos and values of the school is vital.

We are looking for someone who will be able to implement the school’s curriculum in an innovative and creative way to a vertically grouped class of year 3 and 4. Approaching teaching and learning in response to the children’s needs using exciting and contemporary techniques is expected. You must be dedicated to fully meet the expectations of the Teacher Standards and be looking to widen your skills and experiences as a teacher; in return you will have a fun and supportive staff team to work alongside and wonderful children to influence and inspire.

If you are interested in finding out more, you are warmly invited to visit our school community. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.

The Bredgar CEP School community is committed to safeguarding our children. All posts are offered subject to the satisfactory outcome of safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS check. References will be requested prior to interview.

Information about the school

Bredgar Church of England Primary School is a small rural school with 104 pupils on roll. The village is exceptionally beautiful and provides an idyllic environment for our children. In January 2022, Ofsted confirmed that the school continues to be good, with children who display excellent learning and social behaviours and an ethos and culture of nurturing pupils. The Diocese SIAMS inspection in March 2017 found that the school continues to be an outstanding church school. Our friendly staff are fully committed and work hard as a team, raising standards of achievement for all pupils.
