Lunsford Primary School is seeking a Part Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in one of our KS2 Classes.

The post will start on the 29th Octoberr 2018 - 18 Hours per week (5 mornings and 1 afternoon per week). 

Responsible to Class Teacher and SENCO

Purpose of job:

To assist and support the educational needs of a KS2 child on a 1:1 basis.

Requirements

  • To have experience of working with SEN pupils
  • To achieve high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care
  • Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupil
  • To assist and support the social and emotional development of all the children our in KS2 classroom.
  • To organise and deliver special programmes as directed. To participate in the wider life of the school.

We are an oversubscribed one form entry primary school in Larkfield, Aylesford catering for pupils from Reception to Year 6. The school has recently been fully refurbished and has seven classrooms, a brand new computer suite, a library at the centre of the school, a Design and Technology/ music room and a spacious hall. We are fortunate to have an extensive playing field which is used for PE and games as well as a woodland crafts area for Forest School and outdoor learning.

The school has a reputation for high attainment and we are justly proud of this. We have a commitment to high academic standards whilst maintaining a rounded view of education where the needs of all learners are catered for.

We recognise that our staff (along side our children here) are our most important resource and are to be valued, supported and encouraged to develop personally and professionally within a learning and caring community.
