An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Manager at King Ethelbert School and Dane Court Grammar school. The school’s are federated, sharing a governing body, and founding members of the Coastal Academies Trust. The schools are also two of the highest performing schools in Thanet.

The IT Systems Manager role covers all aspects of IT, including technical management and oversight of all IT system including: Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, Google G-Suite and Windows 7, Windows 10 and Apple Clients and third party software, systems and contracts. It also includes leadership, management and development of a small team of technicians and apprentices, budget management and IT related project management.

The right candidate will have a good mix of interpersonal skills and technical knowledge. They must be able to clearly demonstrate a broad technical understanding and relate technical information in clear non-technical language.

The right candidate will also take a keen interest in the needs of both schools. All IT developments must be closely aligned with the Teaching and Learning requirements for each school, ensuring that projects dovetail closely with these needs and do not impact teaching and learning. The right candidate will also be able to lead and develop the IT staff and will take a keen interest in the development of apprentices at both schools.
