Are you a talented, inspirational, outstanding classroom practitioner with significant SEND/Inclusion experience?  We can offer you the opportunity for leadership development as part of the SLT in an inclusive, friendly 3 form entry partner school with a very supportive staff team and opportunities for continuous professional development.

The role is based out of class and involves leading of achievement for children in vulnerable groups including children with SEND. The role is supported by an assistant SENCO and admin support.

We are looking for a strong practitioner with experience of leading SEN provision with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues and who is passionate about raising standards and life chances for all children. Ideally a suitable candidate will have or be in the process of completing the National SENCO Award.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers & TAs ensuring optimum impact on achievement for children in vulnerable groups across the school.  This person will take responsibility for the raising of standards in SEND provision.  The role will involve supporting the strategic planning for the school, with significant input / responsibility for areas of the School Development Plan and School Self Evaluation Form and then ensuring delivery of the objectives set.  This will include (amongst other things): leading the school provision map, developing class profile of needs, the analysis of data, line management of Teaching Assistants, leading areas of performance management, assisting in the delivery of CPD, liaising with families, coaching and mentoring colleagues, team teaching and much more.

The school prides itself on providing an excellent, broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring high standards in the core subject areas of Reading, Writing and Maths. In our relentless drive for excellence, our aim is that all pupils should develop as excellent learners, have excellent social and emotional skills and fulfil their potential.

Housed in two single storey buildings, the school has two large and spacious halls and twenty-one classrooms. All of the classrooms open directly onto the grounds, which can be used for environmental studies and a wide range of sporting activities.

The PTA have played a central role in helping us to develop an outstanding education for our children. They have supported us on a number of projects including the resourcing of iPads, establishing our Forest School and our latest project of redeveloping the outside learning environment for Early Years.

Our children have positive attitudes to learning, high standards of behaviour and excellent attainment across the curriculum. The impressive range of extra-curricular activities are constantly changing and currently include cross country, korfball, hockey, drama, art, choir, orchestra, football, gymnastics, netball, athletics, tennis and homework club.
