Could you be the organised and efficient person to provide clerking services to our Governors at Langdon Primary School?

The successful person would provide clerking to the Governing Body - drafting agendas for meetings, taking notes and producing minutes of meetings, maintaining records, advising on training opportunties, organising monitoring visits and advising the Governing Body on procedural and legislative matters.

We have a maximum of ten full Governing Body meetings per academic year which are held after school (usually between 3.30pm and 5.30pm).  The Clerk may be required to undertake further ad-hoc meetings as needed.

We are offering a salary at Kent Range 4 - PRO RATA for hours worked.

Information about the school

Langdon Primary School is in the small village of East Langdon between Deal and Dover. The school is very much part of the community and links with other groups are strong. Our Governing Body and parents are exceptionally supportive of the school. There is a positive ‘family’ feel amongst our 90 children and staff; older children are encouraged to take nurturing and leadership roles in order to ensure that everyone is valued and younger children learn from their older role models. We have a very positive ethos for learning and we put high expectations of achievement and progress at the heart of what we do. The school had its last Ofsted inspection in January 2020 and received a GOOD grading and a very positive, accurate report.
