Briary Primary School is looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Mentor to join our friendly, established team. The role involves mentoring pupils on an individual or group basis and supporting them in addressing barriers to learning. We aim to raise aspirations and help children achieve their full potential, as well as offering them support in understanding and being aware of other’s emotions and feelings.

The role will also involve liaising closely with class teachers, senior leaders, external agencies and parents/carers. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and excellent communication, listening and observation skills with the ability to build rapport, engage and motivate others.

NVQ3 qualification or equivalent, as well as Maths and English to GCSE level, is a requirement.
