Do you fancy a new challenge... a social worker supporting the needs of children in a school setting?

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Manager to take a lead role in our special school. You will work with our vulnerable pupils in need of specialist support. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and hardworking team who support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and ADHD. The role involves; leading, managing and promoting parental engagement, multi-agency working, making referrals to key agencies, ensuring safeguarding records are accurately managed, and supporting staff and pupils to ensure pupil well-being is at the centre of school provision. 

The successful candidate will need to be confident and have excellent verbal and written communication skills as liaising with other professionals and writing reports is a key part of the role. Extensive experience in Safeguarding is essential, as well as experience in managing referrals to professional partners.   Strong pastoral skills and emotional resilience will also be required. Off site visits and meetings will also mean that car driving is essential.

This is a permanent position advertised on Kent Range 7 - 8 pay scale (£21,790 - £28,412) plus SEN allowance for 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. If you would like to apply, informal visits to the school are encouraged, in the first instance.
