An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in October 2018/January 2019.  We are looking to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf (you might be fully qualified or still training) to join our supportive and hard-working team.  The right candidate will make learning exciting, yet challenging for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Truly has experience of and enjoys working with children who have a severe to profound hearing loss and is motivated by the desire to support them in reaching their full potential.
  • Is motivated, creative, inspirational and friendly.
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Is flexible and adaptable - taking and giving direction appropriately.
  • Can work as part of a team and support colleagues.
  • Is committed to on-going professional development.

The right candidate must:

  • Have QTS status.
  • Have the Teacher of the Deaf qualification or be training to gain the award.
  • Be able to lead and work as part of a largeTEAM.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour, in line with our Core Values of Compassion, Respect, Resilience, Integrity and Thankfulness.
  • Have high expectations of the safety and well-being of all pupils.
  • Have the desire and ambition to continually develop and improve.
