GROUP 3 - L6 TO L9 (FLEXIBLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE) 

Required for January 2019:

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding Leader for our ASD Centre. Cage Green Autism provision is at the heart of Cage Green Primary School community. Our purpose built Autism provision completed in July 2012 provides the right environment to support the improvement of our school.

The Leader for the Phoenix Centre will have:

• The vision and passion to bring about rapid and sustained change.

• Excellent skills and knowledge of Autism Spectrum disorders and their impact upon learning.

• A formal qualification in Autism Spectrum disorders and/or wide ranging and significant experience as a lead practitioner in a Primary School/Special School setting.

• High expectations of pupil achievement and a recent proven record as an outstanding classroom practitioner in a Primary school setting.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, drive, motivate, inspire and support children and colleagues in the Autism provision and across the Cage Green Primary School community

• Experience as a Senior Leader in a Primary setting and a successful track record of guiding, coaching and mentoring teachers and teaching assistants leading to improvements in teaching and learning

• A leader who exemplifies the inclusive ethos and culture of Cage Green Primary School and who is able to inspire others to work successfully with children, parents and carers, staff, governors and the wider community

Cage Green Primary School is a small, happy primary school in north Tonbridge with 210 pupils from Reception to Year Six, including a resourced provision for children with autistic spectrum conditions.
