We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to work with a specific student

The main tasks of the position are

  • Primarily to provide support for a named student with special education needs so that they are fully included within the Academy community and are able to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Provide occasional support for other students, especially those with Special Educational Needs
  • To work under the instruction and / or guidance of teaching staff and / or the SENCo and SEN Admin Co-ordinator to undertake work, care and support programmes for students.
  • To work with other key professionals in supporting the named student and act as a key point of contact for the family
  • Job Grade:Kent Range 3 – 30 hours/week – Term Time Only
  • Responsible to: SENCo (day to day management), overall responsibility for the post lies with the States of Guernsey

The duties may be varied to meet the changing the changing demands of the Academy.
