We are seeking to appoint a temporary 1:1 Teaching Assistant in KS1 to work with an SEN child, in liaison with the teaching team and the SENCo.  The successful applicant will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil(s) to whom they are assigned and to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

This is a fixed term contract until December 2018.

This position is offered on a part-time, fixed term contract of 22.5 hours. Applicants must have a good standard of education, together with good numeracy and literacy skills and/or an NVQ Level 2 or 3 related to the post would be desirable. Experience of working with children who display challenging behaviours is essential.

Information about the school

Crockenhill Primary School is a community primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 years, occupying an attractive site, at the heart of the village of Crockenhill. We are a one form entry school, with capacity for up to 210 pupils. The school is close to the town of Swanley and boasts excellent road and rail links to London and Kent. Our buildings run seamlessly from Victorian to new build and the classrooms are bright and welcoming. We have a dedicated art room, computer suite and library and several breakout spaces for small group work. The school also has a small wildlife garden and large playing field with an area dedicated to our forest school. The school is very proud of its sporting achievements and actively engages in many tournaments.
