After School Club Supervisor

Are you up for a challenge? We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic applicants to join our team at Morehall Primary to take a leading role in our new after school club. Building on the success of our breakfast club, we are opening an after school club from September 2018 and are looking for the right people to make this a real success. We need candidates who are dedicated, enthusiastic, patient and caring, to help our children enjoy, learn and achieve success.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience of working with children of primary school age
  • Be a confident communicator, able to build positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Have experience in planning, organising and delivering a high quality, safe, inclusive and creative experience
  • Be able to support the delivery of high quality extra-curricular activities
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • hold a valid first aid and safeguarding children qualification or is prepared to attend these courses prior to starting work.

The role will include:

  • To have shared responsibility for the care and supervision of children in the club.
  • To work as part of a small team, and to demonstrate a welcoming and understanding approach to parents and carers.
  • To provide a wide range of stimulating activities ensuring that procedures relating to health and safety are followed.
  • Taking day to day responsibility for the club.
  • Taking the lead in planning, resourcing and supervising weekly activities.
