  • Required for 28 August 2018 or September 2018.
  • Permanent contract.
  • Kent Range 5 (£18,059-19,863), pro rata to £11,326-£12,458.
  • 27.5 hours per week (8:25-3:20pm, Mon-Fri).
  • 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus Staff Development Days).

This post is designed to provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher or form tutor.  The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management skills as well as a confident personality, a good presence, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine. 

Applicants should be well-educated, preferably to further education level/Level 3 or above, including English and maths, and will ideally have experience of giving support in the classroom, possibly as a Teaching Assistant, although other qualifications and personal/work experiences will be taken into account.  Employment will start after a one-week paid in-service training course.  There will be a six-month probationary period.

The school anticipates converting to academy status from 1st September 2018.  The successful applicant will be an employee of Swale Academies Trust.
